First elected in 1993, Philip is married with four children. He is an active local campaigner who has taken a keen interest in local planning and development matters, particularly within Ruislip’s Conservation Area. He has in recent years also been instrumental in in the introduction of the popular half hour of free parking in Ruislip High Street, which has since been rolled out across Hillingdon.
He is also involved in work to improve traffic flow and parking management and enforcement in and around Ruislip Lido. Other areas of interest include Ruislip High Street improvements and regeneration, HS2 mitigation, and improvements to parks and open spaces.
Philip regularly meets local residents and is a great believer in partnership with local stakeholders to improve and enhance our local living environment. He also serves as a member of Hillingdon Council’s cabinet with portfolio responsibility for Social Services Health and Housing, and chairs Hillingdon’s Health and Wellbeing Board.
