This morning, I was pleased to join local ward Councillor Noman Stevenson at Pinner Wood School, along with parents, to hear from pupils about their campaign for safe driving and parking around the school.
Following the visit to Pinner Wood School, I joined local ward councillors Norman Stevenson, Paul Osborne and Kuha Kumaran to meet with Pinner business owners, kindly hosted by the Queen’s Head.
It has been busy start to the year, with a number of meetings taking place in Westminster with Ministerial colleagues to discuss important issues on behalf of my constituents.

It was a pleasure to visit Dogs Trust in Harefield once again this morning and to meet not only the lovely dogs, but also the dedicated staff who take care of them and work incredibly hard to find them new homes.
As I have said before, a great number of my constituents are vehicle dependent; needing their vehicles to travel to work, take their children to school and to attend hospital appointments. While the majority of these vehicles are well maintained few are excessively polluting.
Before Christmas, I hosted a surgery with local hospitality businesses in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner. I am grateful to the owners of these important local businesses for taking the time to talk to me about the challenges they face and what I can do to support them.
There was dismay at last night’s Hillingdon Council meeting when the entire Labour group withdrew their support to oppose the expansion of ULEZ to outer London Boroughs including Hillingdon.
